Considering that the TSA has never caught a terrorist or stopped a terrorist plot and they cost us billions of dollars, at least they’re an impenetrable defense of contraband in our skies, right? Uh, no. As reported in ABC News:

Multiple airport screeners have been arrested for allegedly taking handsome bribes to look the other way while loads of illegal drugs slipped through security at Los Angeles International Airport, federal officials announced today.

And that’s just what we know about. What else has the TSA taken a bribe to allow on a plane? What sort of bribes have the police taken to apply the law unevenly? We’ll never know the true number.
